The annual “Ulaanbaatar marathon – 2024” will be held at Sukhbaatar Square, the heart of Ulaanbaatar City, Mongolia, on May 24, 2024. Registration for the 2025 Ulaanbaatar marathon is now open for registration. Interested participants can register online through the official website, ulaanbaatar.marathon.mn, or through the Hipay mobile application. The registration price is 5,000 tugriks for 1.5 km (5,000 tugriks per family member), 10,000 tugriks for 5 km, 50,000 tugriks for 10 km, 70,000 tugriks for 21 km, and 90,000 tugriks for 42 km. The bulk of participants chose the 5 kilometer distance.
Participants in this distance will get their bib numbers between May 1 and May 20 at 5:00 PM at the Capital’s Department of Physical Education and Sports, as well as the Physical Education and Sports Committees of each district. The complete marathon will cover 42 km. There will also be half marathon distances of 21 km, 10 km, 5 km, and 1.5 km. Everyone who participated in the “Ulaanbaatar marathon” can print off their “Certificate” from the website https://ulaanbaatar.marathon.mn/. The 42, 21, and 10 km race results will also be available on this page. The Ulaanbaatar marathon is an international competition organized by the Governor’s Office of the Capital City of Mongolia since 2014. The marathon aims at developing running sports in Mongolia, increasing participation, and promoting physical and mental well-being among youth.
In last year’s Ulaanbaatar marathon (2024), over 30,000 runners from 30 countries participated in the full marathon, half marathon, 10,000m, 5,000m, 1,500m family run, 800m, and 500m races for people with disabilities, including wheelchair users, visually impaired individuals, and intellectually disabled children.
